Meet the Doctor

Dr. Yuan Laura Luo

Dr. Yuanyuan Laura Luo is delighted to join the team at Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and honored to be entrusted with your child’s oral health.

Born and raised in China, Dr. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Wellesley College in Chemistry and Mathematics. She continued her studies at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). During her time at HSDM, Dr. Laura gravitated towards roles where she got to work with kids, so naturally she fell in love with pediatric dentistry.

Following her graduation from dental school, Dr. Laura continued on to receive her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the NYU College of Dentistry. Here, she received extensive training providing comprehensive care for patients with challenging behaviors, special health care needs, and complex medical histories. Dr. Laura is passionate about guiding clinical dentistry using evidence-based research. She has presented and published her research papers through various high-impact journals.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Laura’s calm and friendly demeanor naturally puts children and caregivers at ease. She particularly values creating fun and educational early dental experiences for each child to help them establish healthy habits for a lifetime of great smiles. Dr. Laura is also a strong believer in giving back to the community and has participated in various local dental outreach programs and even traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide dental care for children in need.

When she’s not helping create healthy smiles, Dr. Laura loves spending her time learning about science of cooking, going out for hikes, and checking out Broadway shows with her husband, Jeff.
